stands for made by Ya-Wei. My name is Ya-Wei. I was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and moved to Richmond, Canada with my family in 1997. I am an observational photographer. I observe the fleeting and subtle moments of the seemingly unchanging cityscape. These visual details might seem mundane but to me they possess an alluring quality that can evoke memories of nostalgia and familiarity. My creative practice involves daily observations, photo walks and travels. In my latest exhibition, Invisibility, I present photos taken from 2010 to 2024 in London, Milan, New York, Los Angelos, Vancouver, Tokyo, Kaohsiung, Taipei, Richmond, Berlin, Copenhagen, Fukuoka, Chiayi and Hiroshima. 

我的名字是Ya-Wei。 我出生於臺灣高雄， 在1997年隨著我的家人移民並定居在加拿大列治文市。我是一個觀察攝影師。 我的攝影是我對時間壓縮的城市景觀的觀察。我善於觀察一些存在於看似不變的城市景觀裡微小的瞬間，這些看似平凡的視覺細節，對我來說， 都充滿了莫名的懷舊感與熟悉感。 這些影像裡承載的視覺細節都是從日常生活中或是從旅行中累積的觀察。在這次展覽以「隱形」為主題，我展示了2010年至2024年在倫敦、米蘭、紐約、洛杉磯、溫哥華、東京、高雄、台北、列治文、柏林、哥本哈根、福岡、嘉義和廣島拍攝的照片。
