People of Berlin / 2022

My first time visiting Berlin, Germany. This was in 2022 when travel restrictions were just lifting. Travel costs were very budget-friendly. I was able to travel in business class with premium economy price tag. It was like learning to travel again so there were a lot of first-time-esque excitement and curiosity. This photo was taken by the Berlin Konzerthaus square. I love observing people in this kind of wide open public space. Often time I would find people concentrating on their own inner space not wanting to be disturbed even though they are physically in a very public open space. That paradoxical of urban behaviour of protecting personal space and not wanting to lose touch with the outside world. During this time the world was also just coming out of the social distancing mode so I just found the spacing between these 2 book readers so interesting.
