People of Vancouver / 2023

I often notice a specific solitude in urban setting. It can manifest through a stance, a glance or a gesture. This is one of those moments that I noticed this person across Granville Street in Downtown Vancouver. He was just sitting on a public bench maybe waiting for someone or something and seemingly mindlessly playing with his hair. The street was not empty at the time but somehow there was no one around him. The empty created this atmospheric bubble around him to protect this moment of solitude that perhaps would only for a split seconds before the next distraction came.
